St Nicholas Church, Brighton

This is the door to St Nicholas Church, Brighton. It’s the church where my great-great grandparents (John Dinnis and Charlotte Sampson) were married in 1836 on the 28th of December. It is the oldest church in Brighton, and is situated right in the centre of the city, a few moments walk from where they lived and brought up their family. Here are some more photographs of this lovely church.

I think this is wonderful. The church where your great grandparents were married so long ago. 1836. December 28, 1935 is the wedding anniversary of my parents. I could post a picture of the front door of my grandmother’s house where they were married – in the living room. My stepsisters Ruth and Nan, age 8 and 9, were in attendance. I must refresh their memories of the occasion. Ruth will be 90 on January 6th and Nan 89 on April 18.

    • Oh my! How lovely to have a picture of the front door of your grandmother’s house! Amazing! And you really must get your stepsisters memories, I would love to see some photo’s of you all. Happy Xmas xxx
